beijing olympics 2008

i do realise the exams r nxt wk n i'm far frm finishing any subject which is a severe cause of worry in my opinion. =( so i'll just keep this short....

I'M DAMN BLOODY PROUD OF MY COUNTRY!!!!

there, i summarized it in 1 sentence.

singapore's table tennis team (ping pong in sengwang's terms) hv made it to the finals of the beijing olympics securing at least a silver medal for s'pore aft like 48 yrs of returning empty handed?? i hope they win gold! but tts kinda pushing it, i know.

as i watched the match yesterday (ya, i shld hv been studying), it didn't occur to me tt all our players actually hv chinese origins. coz having played in the republic's colours for so long, they hv become household names n i sorta just related to them as singaporeans. so when others say tt it isn't really our glamour since these players were not born here, i beg to differ.

they chose to come here at a young age, train hard n bring glory to our nation. so in every sense, they r breed in s'pore n they deserve all the support, financial or otherwise. just as i sat at the edge of my seat, watching 3hrs n 40min of breath-taking ping pong yesterday, i sure am gonna catch the final showdown tmr.

n to be honest, i think both girls r cute in their own way...
